These crispy, triangular pockets of goodness are a popular snack in Middle Eastern cuisine and in Sri Lanka, especially during this festive season of Ramadan.
This beefy twist on the classic recipe is sure to satisfy your cravings, so look no further than Aunty D’s Beef Samosa recipe to make it at home!
Ingredients:
Oil 1 tbsp
Garlic 3 cloves
Minced beef 250 g
Green Chilli 3 nos
B. Onion 1 large
Salt 1 tsp
Pepper 1 tsp
Chilli Powder 1 tsp
Garam Masala 1/2 tsp
Carrot 1/8 cups
Spring Onion 1/8 cups
Coriander Leaves
Method:
To make the beef filling, heat oil in a pan on medium heat.
Add chopped garlic, minced beef, green chilli, and diced onion to the pan.
Add salt, pepper, chilli powder and garam masala.
Mix well.
Add diced carrots, spring onions and coriander leaves to the same mixture.
Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
Take the pan off the heat.
To make the samosa, start by making a paste by mixing all-purpose flour and water.
Take a samosa sheet and apply the flour paste on one end.
Fold the sheet into a triangle to create a pocket.
Fill the pocket with 1 tablespoon of the beef mixture.
Apply the flour paste to cover the ends of the wrapper.
Heat oil in a separate pan on medium heat.
Fry the samosas until they turn golden brown.
