This simple Thakkali Thokku is a symphony of spices and flavours that’ll have you doing the happy dance in no time!
Here’s how you make it.
Ingredients:
Gingelly Oil 1 tbsp
Urad Dhal 1 tbsp
Mustard Seeds 1/2 tsp
Garlic 5 – 8 cloves
Onion 1 large
Asafoetida Powder 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp
Chilli Powder 1 tsp
Curry Leaves
Tomato 1 cup
Salt 1 tsp
Method:
Start by adding gingelly oil, undu dhal, mustard seeds, garlic and chopped onion into a saucepan.
Next, add asafoetida powder, turmeric powder, chilli powder and curry leaves and stir to combine.
Finally, add the sliced tomatoes and some salt to taste. Give it a mix and that’s it!
Pair it with some flatbread of your choice and enjoy!
